I’m truly impressed with the Hydro3 system. I think this is truly the best water system you could have. Not only is this using the spare tire location, which is otherwise unusable space, rather than wasting precious cargo space in the bed, but it really takes into account what’s needed for true off the grid camping. You can filter and refill your water tank using the suction line from any decent water source such as a lake or river, or even bypass the whole tank itself and pull water from your source and have unlimited water for cooking, doing dishes, or a shower. Additionally, it’s extremely smart to use a heat exchanger tied into the rigs coolant system instead of needing more propane or electricity to heat the water. Heated water is theoretically unlimited and almost instant! The Hydro3 has served us very well on all our adventures. This truly is the best expedition vehicle water system!
